Artist Statement

I am a dancer who moves and choreographs in a modern looseness with the heaviness, strength, and grit seen in hip-hop. I tend to choreograph in a more emotional, lyrical, musical theater style that tells a story in a simple way. This creates room for an audience to take what they want from the show and not force upon them an understanding that I might not understand myself. With that, I tend to gravitate more towards the more straightforward and more pedestrian movement types that can grow to show to an audience unused to the simplicity that the dance gives off, allowing for a more inclusive feeling I believe the dance world is missing for those who did not start dancing at a young age.
